It's kind of a weird sight to look around in the neighbourhood.
Much houses are abandon, windows are closed, doors are reinforced, and walls are surrounded by barbed wire.
In the street I live in, around 50% of the houses are like that.
The next 4-5 streets are completely abandon.
People are paid to leave, some people - like the lady I live with - absolutely want to stay.
Why, Liverpool City Council wants to demolish 11 streets like this to build some new houses and apartments.
To me it seems some history disappears, it are really nice Victorian terraced houses.
It's still weird to see much of the neighbourhood like this,
but it's a safe and quiet area.
Some more information about the demolition: http://www.walesonline.co.uk/tm_objectid=16159775&method=full&siteid=50082&headline=farewell-liverpool-s-welsh-streets-name_page.html
